and how did I come to this conclusion you ask? well watching a whole season (540 minutes) of sex and the city last night would do it. lol

what is it called when the age you are turning is the same as the day of your birthday (if anything)?? (For example: turning 30 on Nov. 30th...even though that is a decade off).

I was talking to a friend over christmas (she will know who she is when she reads this), and she brought up the subject/fear of being a 21 year old virgin. And thinking about it now…in our society it’s a big deal. I mean really – by that time, most guys are not virgins, and they expect certain things…it is really intimidating if you don’t have a clue what to do/expect. I for one am not at all experienced in that department…and frankly I have a major fear of male body parts. I’m going to hope it’s a fear that won’t last, and that if I just get over it I can move on with things.

But back to the whole 21 year old virgin thing. It seems to me that nowadays “saving yourself for marriage” is the rarity. It seems to be becoming something of the past. And really I don’t think there is anything wrong with it, as long as you think it is the right person and *the right time*, and if you are willing to deal with the consequences (whatever they may be).

Ok, well this is starting to fizzle out, and really I thought I was going somewhere with it, but apparently I can’t think right now.

However, I have some…I guess interesting news. I went to the derm today, and took the plunge, I am talking accutane (starting tomorrow). I have to fast for 12 hours (overnight), and then get a blood and (standard) pregnancy test tomorrow, and then I will start taking it tomorrow night (although there is something a little confusing in the info pamphlet thing, if any of you know it would be appreciated! It says that you are supposed to wait until the start of your next period and after 2 pregnacy tests…but I (and the pharmacist agreed) figured that that is only if you are sexually active. So if any of you know for sure, plz let me know!)

Yesterday i went over to a friends place...and actually just her own place. Its a new house/duplex type place in the north end of the city, and so cute. I think it would be a little lonely, but kinda fun. We ate alot...pizza, chips, cookies, ice cream; and made a run to 7-11 for candy...mmm. Watched I (heart) huckabees - which was a little different (those exastentialists - spelling?), but quite enjoyable...and jude law didn't hurt either haha; and vanity fair (with reese witherspoon), which was super long, but good (kinda like sense and sensability/pride and prejiduce). Slept on a leather couch haha (actually i lost out on the bed compation - 4 girls, 3 beds), which was actually really comfortable. Then just alot of work this afternoon...

hopefully i can make it till 1230 ...jack johnson is performing on SNL tonight!!!

Tash and i went to west ed yesterday with the intent to shop and go see a cheap movie. We went to old navy, b/c they had capris on sale...and i figured it was worth a try cuz i love capris, but can never find ones that fit right. turns out it was my lucky day - cuz i found a pair that i loved (along with a couple tank tops), but they weren't on sale. however i bought them anyway. after that expensive purchase i was like, ok - can't buy anything else, but we ended up going to look for a new "bar shirt". I tried on a bunch at sirens, and actually found one i liked (among a ton of terrible ones mind you), but it was a halter type shirt, and I don't actually own any, so then we had to go buy a new bra (now i'm thinking - man...this is going to be one expensive shopping trip). I absolutely HATE bra shopping with a passion, however it was necessary, otherwise the shirt would have been a waste of money. So off to the bay we went, and i found a couple strapless (with the removable/halter/crisscross straps), one of which was 12.99 (which i was impressed with). That ended up being the one that fit, so i go to pay for it, and the lady is like, oh this is also 40% off. I"m like SWEET!!!! So i got a 42 dollar bra for 8 bucks and change! I was quite impressed *grins*. Then tash and i went for "dinner" to moxies (of course). We got nachos (which i have had the hugest craving for lately), and i ordered a starter salad, and of course white chocolate brownie...mmmm. When i got the salad, i was like - this is bigger than i thought...hmm. Then our waitress came by and gave it a funny look - and was like, oh it should be alot smaller (which is what i thought). Turns out she rang in the wrong one...so i got a bigger salad than i paid for ---->definetly my lucky day :) I got the DL on tasha and all the wedding stress, and then she wanted to be filled in on all the chris details (which i thought she knew - but she didn't i guess). we ended up talking till after nine, so there went the movie plans, but saves a bit of money i guess (after how much i spent yesterday...) So all in all, definetly a very successful trip...now i just need to go out to the bar!

Ok…trying this again…stupid blogger had some error and deleted a whole post…before it got published.

So reading week…so awesome!!! I skipped my 1st 2 classes EVER (such a rebel…I know!) so that I could get to Jasper at 6pm instead of 1 am!! Anyway - Jasper had AMAZING snow! (the only bad thing was that my bro was super sick…so now I am also sick since he coughs everywhere, and leaves dirty Kleenexes everywhere) Though he did drag me off a double black on the front side (off eagle for those that have been there) which was probably the best snow on the mountain…and I made it down without dying – always a bonus haha) I was just a little upset that I only got one run off the knob (3rd last run of the last day) – cuz there was also amazing snow there too!!

I got my hair trimmed Tuesday, and then went to a jazz concert at beav with Kathryn that night. It made me realize that I really am getting old – I didn’t even know half those kids! Though we did have a good talk with mac and sac – turns out mac is going to be up in deadmonton this weekend conducting the jr honour band, and at their concert on Friday we (The u of a band) are playing (as their guest) which is pretty exciting!

Wed. Marnie and I went to Sunshine which was a blast!! They had better snow on goats eye than at Christmas, and the rest was about the same (and prolly as good as jasper had!) Lauren was there with her grandpa, so we skied one run with her also.

Thurs I called chris so we could try to get together at least once while I was in town. He was supposed to be working the whole time, but he guilt tripped his boss into giving him Friday off so we could go to louise. So I got dropped off down at trail where he works on Friday morning (he went in to work for 3 hours b4 we went skiing). We had a blast…even though the snow was pretty terrible (lots of ice, rocks and bushes), the weather was amazing – (it must have been close to +10 – I was in my coat and a tshirt! ) and can’t complain about the company *winks*. Though just to clarify – it is nothing more than a friendship. Friday night I got almost 12 hours of sleep – it was freaking awesome! Though it was the only night I got a long sleep.

I got back up to deadmonchuck on Sunday night…tasha and I took the bus up together, which was nice to have some company for once!

I went to get groceries on Monday after class and while I was waiting to pay the lady behind me started chatting to me – kinda random. But as I was leaving she made some comment about how “while your in uni you don’t get a chance to get much nice stuff (something to that effect anyway) and you are such a nice girl, so I want you to have these” and she gave me some daffodils. It was so nice, and I completely couldn’t believe it…there are still adults that respect us out there!! So now I have daffodils in my room – which makes it that much brighter! *grins*
