FYI: cyanide is found in small quantities in fruit pits, especially apples, pears and almonds. Who knew?

Oh man! Why can't all exams be as straight forward as math...I mean honestly...it was actually a fair test...and the only one I feel confident in so far. Eng was a challenge, but physics....that was just plain hard...Like how can we be expected to answer 20 multiple choice questions (requiring calculations) and 3 long answers (with 3 parts each) in 2 hours...yeah, NOT POSSIBLE!!!!! I don't even want to know how I did on that. ANd then chem....like marnie said, chem is definetly not my friend...not by a long shot! I mean, where is the logic in learning a ton of reactions for each of the elements in the main groups of the periodic table...can't I just look them up if i ever need them???? Sure its testing my knowledge, but still!!!!! I'm so ready for school to be over, so I can do absolutely nothing for 2 1/2 weeks!!!!!
Oh, Sarah....one suggestion about the calf muscle ache/spasm stuff....drink lots of water!!!! Apparently when your calf muscles spasm anytime it means you are dehydrated. Try it at least, hopefully it will help a bit! Oh, and bring Matt to my party if you want! That goes for all of you with b/f or g/f, just let me know you will be bringing them though k?
Haha, oh one more thing, kinda funny. With 10 minutes left in our exam today, one of the prof's was like "You have 10 minutes left, please remain seated until the end of time." (just think about it for a sec). We all started to crack up....i dunno, maybe u just had to be there. We wrote in this huge gym type place (called the pavillion), its kinda got a green aura about the place, and these clocks in the middle of the rows....feels kinda like the military or something. I kept expecting people to start marching out in some army outfit formation thing.
See most of you at the Jack Singer on Tuesday!!!! Yay.....its almost Christmas!!!!

You are Nemo!!! cute and adorable, and you look
just like your father! kinda creepy, but it
runs in the family. You are just another
regular fish in the sea, but with a mild fin
problem, but it doesnt bother you.

Ok, well hotmail was being dumb, and wasn't letting me send this out, so I will try again (apparently I sent 100 messages-the limit-in the last 24hrs, so it wouldn't let me send it) tomorrow, but it can go up here for now:
Hey guys,
Ok, I'm not sure what time classes end at beav on Friday the 19th, but at this point we will plan to meet at 2nd cup by beav, or somewhere else if anyone has other suggestions! (or in the band room?) at 1230 in the afternoon that day, just as kinda a band reunion for those that aren't back for the beav christmas concert. Please try to make it, even if you still have exams, it will probably be pretty short, and you are free to leave if you still have to study! Please confirm if you will be there or not! Thanks, Oh, and if you notice someone who this should have been sent to and it wasn't please send it to them, b/c I don't have everyones email!

Hey guys, I just have a quick favor/question for all of you. I came across this website last night, and want to know if you guys think it might be worth me trying, or if it is just a scam: http://www.natural-acne-treatments.com/acne.html. At this point I am willing to try anything, with the exception of accutane, and for $32 canadian, it just might be worth it. Also, do any of you use pHisoderm...and what do you you think of it if you do/what have you heard about it (or can you even buy it in Canada??) Thanks so much! Watch for a party update soon....next time I'm procrastinating I'll send it out!

Here's a cute quote to help you guys through exams. I got it from a girl on my floor, who has it on her door....(hehe, there's some poetry for ya too!)
"I'm totally against animal testing. They get all nervous and end up giving all the wrong answers."
Oh, and watch for a party update (band and birthday) coming soon to an inbox near you! (yeah, i know how cheesy that is, but hey, thats what engineering exams do to your brain!)
GOOD LUCK ON FINALS!!!!! and see you all soon!

STOP PROCRASTINATING!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahhh....1 exam down...4 more to go, and i don't even know if i can say that was the hardest one! they are all going to be pretty hard i think...but thank goodness that is over!!! NO MORE ENGG EVER!!!!!! yay, you have no idea how happy i am about that!!!!
So, yesterday instead of studying all day i went to volunteer at this christmas party the student union puts on every year for a couple "inner city" elementary schools. Originally, when i got there i didn't have any kids to take around for the day, so i was kinda disappointed, but then a couple people didn't show up, so i got their kids. I had these 3 cute gr 4 girls...actually 2 of them were cute...the other one was a definete problem child...i felt really bad though, b/c one of the teachers got really mad at her, for i have no idea what...this was at the beginning of the day, so i felt bad for her...but then lunch happened. there were 3 choices of pizza, and originally 2 of them, the 2 cute ones, which were sisters, decieded they wanted cheese, and the other wanted hawaiian, so i was like ok, and then one of the sisters was like, actually i want whatever she is having, and the non-cute one was like NO!!! i want something different from her... this went on for no joke like at least 5 minutes! finally i was like, k, i'll just get you whatever is there and if you can't handle having the same thing, then don't eat it (but of course i didn't actually say that!) I was so tired by the end of the day though...completely drained of energy.
Then last night it was our final secret santa present (we gave small presents all week)...my secret santa (who ended up being my FC) gave me (in total all week...just cuz i kinda want to brag!) and advent calender, this candy cane pin (that is on my bullitin (sp) board...i don't think i'd ever wear it), the sweetest socks ever...hard to explain, but when they are folded down there is a reindeer on them, and then if you fold them up its like the reindeer only in boxers and a beater...so cute! , a plant (though i'm not sure what kind, and i need to plant it in a bigger pot). The big present last night though....apple cider mix and the cutest stuffed dog ever! I was brushing my teeth last night, and this girl on my floor, Julie, was like what are you going to name it? And i was like, no idea...all i can think of is engg, and i'm not naming it that!!! then she was like, what about piccolo, (cuz flute is kinda boring), and i was like YES! I know i know, kinda excited over small, insignificant things, but thats what enchineering (inside joke) does to you!
well, i guess thats enough procrastinating for now...i have an exam monday afternoon, that i haven't really started studying for yet...oops, and its physics too...ahhh
OK, later guys, party in 13 days...and i'm home in 10 YAY!!!!!

Ok, well, this is a continuation from yesterday...was it yesterday, it seems like so long ago. Anyway, so i went to the derm today, i swear she doesn't know what she's perscribing half the time...allow me to elaborate: So i made an appointment b/c my face has decieded it no longer wants to be clear (not that it ever has...but it was behaving this summer), and i have been trying pro-active, but i haven't decieded if that is actually working. Anyway, I wanted to go back on the antibiotics that i was on last year/during the summer, and also ask her for a refill on a specific perscription that i had perscribed from my derm in calgary. So the antibiotic was no problem (minocycine, for those who are curious), and then I was like, oh, do you think you could give me refills on this too? (I had the container with me), and she was like yeah, thats ________(I don't remember what she said, but it was sure not what i was using...though i prolly should've said something like, no thats not it, but she's the one with the degree, so I assumed she knew what she was talking about, plus she had my chart right in front of her).
Arrgg...so now I have 4 things to put on my face at night, and 3 in the morning....maybe i'm overdoing it an thats the problem, but if she perscribed what i asked for then it wouldn't be such a problem, now would it?
It just is not fair!!! I don't understand how every single famous person has close to perfect skin, and the thing that makes me most angry is the fact that all the "popular" people from high school, and in general everyone here had completely clear skin....have they never even had a zit in their life??? ANd they are usually the ones who think, oh she has bad acne, she must not wash her face...etc etc. Thats the kinda look i tend to get every once in a while. Like really, i know everyone always says life isn't fair, and i believe that too, but the fact that every single day of my life from gr 7 till now i have had acne of some kind, and when i say acne of some kind, I should clarify that i don't just mean the odd zit every day, I mean 6 years of having my face be in a constant state of being broken out. You may be thinking thats not a big deal, but in the whole scheme of things, confidence comes from looking good/presentable..not always being dissatisfied with your appearence, and not being able to do a thing about it. and i hate to tie this into relationships, but generally guys tend to go for physical attraction first, not for a girls intellegence (if only that was important to them i wouldn't have that much of a challenge attracting worthy guys).
Ok, thats all i got for now...and just understand that it is my personal views...and is not meant as an insult or w/e to anyone who never has had bad skin....if this is you, just consider yourself incredibly lucky!
And now for the general day and a bit summary (for lack of a better/more creative title): So yesterday was the last day of class of engineering for me forever!!!!! kinda exciting, now i just have to make it through exams...kinda worried about that (....and that would be why i am procrastinating as usual) Engg 130=death enough said. So last night tash, carolyn (a friend on my floor) lauren and I all went to earls....mmmmm belini's so good....oh, and we all have to plan a night to go to tequila tasha tells me. tomorrow i am volunteering at this kids christmas party the student union is putting on, for gr1-6 in high needs schools...it should be lots of fun...and definetly put me in the christmas spirit, as well as give me a break from studying eng...which i write on sat. ahhhh, so scared!!!! Anyway, that is enough procrastating for now, and I apologize if alot of this jumped around alot! 12 days!!!!!!thats it!

Well, I am finally 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yay!!!! Isn't that exciting! mY parents and grandparents came up for the weekend for my birthday, and plus I had a concert on my birthday too. (the sunday). On Saturday my mom made dinner in the hotel they were staying in, I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but....when you live in rez, well home cooked food is a luxury!!!!! They were also like, you can be 18 today, so i was "allowed" to drink wine (for those that don't know that is actually my first experience with alcohol....yes, that is right, i was "pure" until the day before I turned 18...haha). that was kinda interesting, i'm not really sure if i like it, but it was kinda funny cuz my brother was like, why aren't you drunk yet??? I was kinda like, I don't think it takes 1 drink to get me drunk! Then we went on a walk (oh so exciting) down Jasper Ave....kinda an adventure with all the drunks outside the liquer (sp) store. Then, the 2nd drink....armaretto....that stuff is good!!!
Anyway, sunday (my birthday) was lots of fun! My mom gave me the sweetest pants (that she made)....pink pj pants with skiing cows....yeah,. thats right, skiing cows!!!!!! My parents also got me a leather jacket...very suprising, but now I just need somewhere to go out an wear it!!!!
MY concert was lots of fun... this one march that we play is super fast, and basically all runs (slured), but the trombones have this tongued part. So in the concert, he decides to speed up at the end....geez, it was soo fast!!!!!Crazy!!! after the concert my brother and I went tobogganing on the walk back to our hotel....there are some really good hills by the university!!!
we went for dinner to Joey tomatoes....so good, and mmm, strawberry daquiri (sp) that and a glass of wine...after that i was a little light headed!!! haha
Anyway, I was thinking alot this weekend though, now that I am 18...andthe interesting thing is I have never had a serious bf (Yes, I nkow i've metioned it b4), but the real kicker....for the past 6 years of my life I have had to deal with acne EVERY DAY!!!!!!! I'm so sick of it, and nothing works EVER!!!!! grrrrr, It makes me so angry....right b4 grad my skin was the best it had ever been those past 6 years, and then I get back to school, and the stress starts, or maybe its the water up here, but i break out so bad grrrrrrr I'm so so sick of it screwing up my confidence for talking to certain people (ie good looking guys), that i may be interested in.
Anyway, I have to get to physics, so I will have to finish my complaining later.
I will be home in 13 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
