why i need to buy black boots

note to self:

do NOT wear sandles in Alberta ever...no matter if its been nice and warm for a week, because the one day you do it will snow.

yeah, so the story of my weekend. on friday night we went to the Mongoli (sp?) grill for our floor dinner. and i was like...ok its nice out i can wear sandles and a skirt...so i did...it was warmish (for march in alberta) and basically dry...considering it had been melting all day. however...once we got off the lrt downtown it was snowing a tiny bit, and it had gotten kinda cold (to be expected i guess, considering its not spring, no matter how much it feels like spring). then dinner which was amazing...though more expensive than i thought...and i couldn't really taste the sause that i put on mine. but by this time it was like huge snowflakes outside...really pretty, but really didnt want to go back out in it!!! however i did and froze my feet walking back to the lrt station (which is only a block), but it was even worse going from the station back to rez...alot futher, and plus my feet were already cold. i honestly couldn't feel my toes and thought i might have to cut them off if rez was any further. *sigh* but i made it, and my feet warmed up suprisingly fast all things considered, although there was kinda a burning phase. and the moral of the story is i need to go and invest in some black boots to wear with skirts in order that my feet don't freeze on those in between days.

then saturday we went to watch the national college volleyball championships at grant mac...oh man, this team from St Thomas University...soooo hot. man oh man...

saturday evening was kinda the drinking night of sorts...we tried to make margaritas...they weren't that bad, but definetly not that good...ended up drinking part of the bottle of wine my parents gave me for my bday (and no i am not a drunkard b/c i had one little margarita, and 2 small glasses of wine), however i can't speak for everyone.

then today i had this skating party concert thing...totally informal, but i will never complain about the spruce meadows set - up again. k, picture this - the band is set up on the bleachers in a hockey arena, and for the most part each person is sitting beside another persons stand...so everything is pretty precariously pearched and i managed to knock over this french horn girls (her stand was beside me) stand in the middle of the song...and not matter how much i apologised all i got were blank/dirty looks from her...geez, it was like the most informal concert...how much more serious could she have gotten??? oh well, i guess it was kinda fun...

after that i was dead tired (tooo much partying - considering i watched snl and then went right to bed saturday night) and so i lay down assuming that i probably wouldn't sleep, and intending to go for dinner at six with some girls from my floor...the next thing i know i wakeup and they are at my door watching me...apparently they had knocked and then talked really loud through the door, and eventually gave up and opened it, which is when i wake up. i swear it took my eyes like 10 minutes to focus...

and that is all. Later chiquas

hee hee its almost st patty's day!!
