Ok…trying this again…stupid blogger had some error and deleted a whole post…before it got published.
So reading week…so awesome!!! I skipped my 1st 2 classes EVER (such a rebel…I know!) so that I could get to Jasper at 6pm instead of 1 am!! Anyway - Jasper had AMAZING snow! (the only bad thing was that my bro was super sick…so now I am also sick since he coughs everywhere, and leaves dirty Kleenexes everywhere) Though he did drag me off a double black on the front side (off eagle for those that have been there) which was probably the best snow on the mountain…and I made it down without dying – always a bonus haha) I was just a little upset that I only got one run off the knob (3rd last run of the last day) – cuz there was also amazing snow there too!!
I got my hair trimmed Tuesday, and then went to a jazz concert at beav with Kathryn that night. It made me realize that I really am getting old – I didn’t even know half those kids! Though we did have a good talk with mac and sac – turns out mac is going to be up in deadmonton this weekend conducting the jr honour band, and at their concert on Friday we (The u of a band) are playing (as their guest) which is pretty exciting!
Wed. Marnie and I went to Sunshine which was a blast!! They had better snow on goats eye than at Christmas, and the rest was about the same (and prolly as good as jasper had!) Lauren was there with her grandpa, so we skied one run with her also.
Thurs I called chris so we could try to get together at least once while I was in town. He was supposed to be working the whole time, but he guilt tripped his boss into giving him Friday off so we could go to louise. So I got dropped off down at trail where he works on Friday morning (he went in to work for 3 hours b4 we went skiing). We had a blast…even though the snow was pretty terrible (lots of ice, rocks and bushes), the weather was amazing – (it must have been close to +10 – I was in my coat and a tshirt! ) and can’t complain about the company *winks*. Though just to clarify – it is nothing more than a friendship. Friday night I got almost 12 hours of sleep – it was freaking awesome! Though it was the only night I got a long sleep.
I got back up to deadmonchuck on Sunday night…tasha and I took the bus up together, which was nice to have some company for once!
I went to get groceries on Monday after class and while I was waiting to pay the lady behind me started chatting to me – kinda random. But as I was leaving she made some comment about how “while your in uni you don’t get a chance to get much nice stuff (something to that effect anyway) and you are such a nice girl, so I want you to have these” and she gave me some daffodils. It was so nice, and I completely couldn’t believe it…there are still adults that respect us out there!! So now I have daffodils in my room – which makes it that much brighter! *grins*
